Exclusive appearances at Skegness from
Ireland’s BOOMTOWN RATS
GARRY ROBERTS & SIMON CROWE’s
new band,
THE RATS – who will be dipping into the R&B
roots of the earliest Boomtown Rats material, plus all
the hits
– and the return of original THIN LIZZY guitarist,
ERIC BELL.
England cricket international
MARK
BUTCHER unveils his new hotly-anticipated band;
EDDIE & THE HOT RODS return with their take-no-prisoners
collection of favourites.
High octane performances are guaranteed from
DR.FEELGOOD,
WILKO JOHNSON (with his ol’
Blockhead chum magnificent
NORMAN WATT–ROY
on bass),
THE HAMSTERS
and
NINE BELOW ZERO.
Also returning are
STRAY with
founder member DEL BROMHAM
who deliver one of the most frightening exciting ‘live’
shows fans of classic rock are ever likely to witness.
Response to their last appearance was phenomenal. Now,
with their much anticipated new album – produced by
CHRIS TSANGARIDES (Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore etc).
Returning to the UK circuit after
many years is one of the most unique bands ever signed
to Virgin Records –
ALBIE DONNELLY’s SUPERCHARGE. The
band were one of the first production jobs for
mega-producer MUTT LANGE (Def Leppard, AC/DC, Shania
Twain)…it was also Albie’s sax playing that graced The
Boomtown Rats’ ‘Rat Trap’…maybe The Rats and Albie might
find themselves on the same stage again after all these
years?
Some of the most exciting new
blues artists of recent years are represented with
contender in the Bob Dylan ‘Never Ending Tour’ stakes,
DANNY BRYANT’S REDEYE BAND;
SEAN WEBSTER (just off a
huge US tour) and – recently named in Guitar & Bass
magazines’ ‘Albums of The Year’ alongside AC/DC,
B.B.King and Metallica – Californian
STEPHEN DALE
PETIT. From Indonesia comes the stunning
GUGUN.
A welcome return to Skegness too,
for the two finest female–fronted blues bands in the UK:
CONNIE LUSH AND BLUES SHOUTER and
THE
KYLA BROX BAND;
both guaranteed to have the audience in the palm of
their hands.
