Saturday saw the stunning Slowburner open proceedings. The set list (below) was much the same as at the Plough Inn, Hereford on 9th June but here, on a much larger stage in front of a maximum 1,000 gate, quality showed through. Mike Bannister’s stage presence was amazing; he played to a crowd marvelling at his showmanship and that guitar, awesome, you had to be there to believe it - even if it did rain just a little at the start ! Thanks guys, as usual we all really enjoyed the set!

Another excellent performance by the band, again joined by the awe-inspiring Matt Schofield (guitar) and Jonny Henderson (Hammond organ), members of the awesome Matt Schofield Trio. There was work from an imminent new CD (provisionally titled 'Swagger') with a funk/jazz style about it and some favourites including -  Revelator (John The Apostle) and She Got the Devil In Her/ I Gotta Try You Baby from the highly acclaimed 'Meat & Potatoes' album - truly amazing. Ian deserved his liquid refreshment!
 

What a band to close Saturday night, these absolute showstoppers took us on a helter-skelter ride of their recorded history:

This was a night to remember and by the end everyone was on their feet, if not dancing, standing in absolute wonderment. 100% entertainment!
