The
Linton Music Festival, now in its 10th year, is held in
the grounds of the Alma Inn, Linton, Ross-On-Wye,
Herefordshire. Twice awarded CAMRA Pub of the Year for
Herefordshire (in 2002 and 2005) and featured in the
Good Beer Guide. The grounds slope gradually down to a
purpose-built stage ensuring everyone has an excellent
view - just like a Roman amphitheatre. A wide range of
local food was available, suitable for all tastes
including a barbeque, pork roast, cake stall and Indian
cuisine. The beer tent offered an amazing 37 real ales plus lager, cider, perry, and soft drinks.
The festival had something for everyone and once again
the festival team are to be congratulated for their
organisation and strong band line-up. Catering, parking,
band turn-around, ticket sales, P/A, M/C's all ran
smoothly, generating an atmosphere of wellbeing for the
event.
The Festival is a non-profit
making event and donations are made to various local
causes and charities.
Thank you and very well done Linton.
