Mojo Buford at Cuban Blue,
Bridge Street, Hereford
Wednesday, 22nd June 2005
“Man its too early for this
kind-a-shit” these were Mojo’s first words to me in
response to a request for an autograph but he obliged and posed with me for a
photograph and all this before the show began. Aided by a stick
Mojo (76 years young) made his way onto stage, after
a good warm up from the Mojo
Burford band, and to much applause he opened with
Hoochie Coochie Man. This 2005 UK Tour was
promoting his new CD “Blues
Ain’t A Color” and most of it was played out during the two sets he
played for us. Of course - Got My Mojo
Workin’ - featured, in both sets, to much rapturous
applause. An encore from the band of Johnny-B-Good and Whole
lotta shakin’ ended yet
another fabulous evening at Cuban Blue Jazz and Blues Bar.
