I'm still waiting for details of some festivals towards the end
of the year (shown as "2013
- TBA"). Whilst I have taken every care to ensure details are
correct, please confirm dates with festival organisers - I have included contact
phone numbers, email addresses and website addresses. Please let me know
of any other UK or European blues festivals, workshops, exhibitions and lectures not listed here.

update this list as I receive more details from festival organisers,

The Lymm Festival Winter Warmer team is pleased to
invite you to a terrific blues night featuring festival favourites Tommy
Allen and Johnny Hewitt - The Blues Duo - who will be appearing at Lymm
Golf Club on Friday 1st February at 8pm. Since their last appearance at
the Lymm Festival in 2011 Tommy and Johnny have taken the blues world by
storm with their stunning Chicago style acoustic blues act, and we are
very pleased that the boys have agreed to play for us at our first
Winter Warmer event of 2013.
The first part of the evening will feature the duo
performing in the acoustic style which is now attracting a lot of
attention throughout the UK and beyond. They will play lots of old
favourites and several numbers from their new CD. The duo will then be
joined on stage by some old friends including members of the Smokehouse
Blues Band to play two further sets of classic blues and swing. Not to
be missed!

"We have decided to
take 'a Glastonbury'- a year out - and not to run a Festival in 2013.
The time and effort expended organising the weekend is enormous, and
inevitably takes its toll. So it's time for a breather. But, at the
moment, a Festival is planned for Friday 23, Saturday 24, and Sunday 25
May 2014.
However, in the
meantime, we may plan single gigs at Seale-Hayne, if, and when, suitable
performers are found. If you aren't already on our mailing list, please
send us a note via the 'Contacts' page, and we will keep you informed.

"Norfolk Blues society
is organising a three day blues festival first for Norfolk, with bands
playing simultaneously at eight venues in the centre of Dereham, all
within walking distance of each other. A chance to see a whole 'mess o
blues' from Mississippi swamp through R&B, Chicago blues of Buddy Guy,
Muddy Waters to Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan right up to funky,
verging on jazz. This not to be missed event of 2013 for all live blues
fans is organised by Norfolk Blues Society. Most venues are free to
enter other than for the headline artists, Ron Sayer and Dave Thomas who
recently played with Paul Jones at the Maddermarket". |

The London Acoustic Guitar Show 2013
The London
Acoustic Guitar Show is the ultimate event for acoustic
guitar and music enthusiasts. Our 2013 event, held on 7
and 8 September 2013 at London’s prestigious Olympia
venue, allows visitors to get up close and personal with
the world’s greatest acoustic players, as well as the
opportunity to test hundreds of acoustic guitars, gear
and accessories from the industry’s biggest names and
the best luthiers from all over the world.
The show, in
association with Acoustic Magazine, is aimed squarely at
providing a fully dedicated two-day acoustic show for
the UK acoustic guitar community. After the success of
the 2012 show, the London Acoustic Guitar Show will
bring the best acoustic musicians to the main stage,
masterclass suite and the acoustic café. This unique
show is designed to promote the ever-increasing
popularity of the acoustic guitar and the many styles of
music associated with it. The show welcomes fans and
players of all ages, technical ability and genre
preference.
UK acoustic
players will have the opportunity to observe first-hand
the latest products and gear, watch the world’s top
players in action performing within the 450 seated main
stage auditorium and attend quality masterclasses and
clinics, all under one roof. Access to all the live
performances and clinics are included free with
admission, there are no hidden costs to watch any of the
main stage performances or any of the masterclasses.
However, the live shows are available on a first come
first serve basis – visitors should arrive early in
order to collect free main stage performance tickets
from the relevant stands (details of which will be
online closer to the time).

being announced all the time, so make sure you check in

accounts. There will be no other place to be in 2013 if
