Khalif Wailin' Walter

Khalif is a class act of "Boomin' funky blues!!!!" according to The Chicago Tribune. He hails from Chicago and has lit up the Chicago blues scene with his unique style of boogie blues described by the 'Showcase Chicago Magazine' as "Ass-shakin' boogie blues". Khalif Wailin' Walter's stormy guitar work and brash New Orleans style vocals, generate the bands traditional down-home sound, reminiscent of greats like Albert King, Freddie King and Albert Collins. Fused with contemporary style and innovative original arrangements, Khalif Wailin' Walter delivers foot stomping, finger snapping blues that burns the house to the ground. Anddrezej Matysik of the 'Living Blues Magazine' reviewed Khalif's 2001 Chicago Blues Festival performance describing him as "A must see for every blues lover...his music showed that we don't have to worry about the future of the blues they will be well kept and with Wailin' Walter they are going in a good direction"
